"Sametime Essentials" Training is now available!

Filed under: Sametime, Technical Support, Technology

You asked for it and here it is.  Many customers whom I’ve spoken to have asked for Sametime Training.  Up to now, the training options have been extremely limited, but now we are pleased to announce the “Sametime Essentials” self-paced training.  Various IBM teams have worked together to assemble this training to share what we know with the public.  It will take approximately 4 days to complete the course material which is delivered in a Notes Database.  Some of the topics which are covered are:

1.        Introduction to Sametime
2.        Sametime Administration; Community Server Architecture; Meeting Services Architecture; Broadcast Services
3.        Multimedia Services; LDAP
4.        Debug; Servlets; Security

Please provide any feedback on the course back to IBM as we appreciate any comments which you have.  Special thanks to everyone who has contributed to making this possible!

  1. JFranchetti Says:

Looks to be made for ST 7.5.1. Is there an ST 8.0 version?

  2. Andy Yiu Says:

@JFranchetti: The components in Sametime 7.5.1 and 8.0 are the same with the exception of the network-client installer. However the Sametime Infocenter provides a wealth of information on the new network-client install process.

At this time we do not have a Sametime 8.0 specific version.
