Running Sametime 8.0.2 on Domino 8.5

Several administrators have been trying to run Sametime 8.0.2 on Domino 8.5.  I would like to let all of you know that this is an unsupported configuration at this time.  Those that have tried have experienced issues such as certain community services not starting.  Unfortunately the only way to correct this configuration is to uninstall both the Domino and Sametime server, and then reinstall again.

We are planning to have Domino 8.5 in the next release of Sametime.

   I actually read this was not supported and had to immediately try it out at home – it works here in my test environment. But that is probably because the load is ridiculously low to non-existent that I just am not creating the kinds of stress that would cause the issues to surface. It makes for fun testing though!!

   Some of the admins I’ve spoken to indicated that the server just doesn’t start. Others have indicated that the server starts up successfully but crashes soon afterwards when load is applied. Eventhough its fun to play with in the development environments, I still wouldn’t risk putting it into production.

   We run it and it runs fine, except for one ST task which will not start. Other than that it has been fine since installation.
   Internally small office.

   I don’t intend to run it in production anywhere , I just wanted to check what it does in case I run into a client who tries this and I have to troubleshoot.

   We been Experiencing issues with the Sametime Meeting…..which is an Intermittent…URL sometime loads and sometime not.

   Sametime application 8.0.2 on Domino 7.0.3.

   Is this a Domino version issues…? Do we need to upgrade existing Domino version to 8.0.2…?

   We have also installed the sametime 8.0.2 on domino 8.5 with AD, its running fine now, but sametime services taking much time to load and taking 2-3 hits to connect the sametime server.

   Also we are facing the some issue to connect the server through internet browser and sametime connect client.
   Is their any help to streamline my server ??
